How to Keep Your Personal Training Client Forever! (And How I Kept My Client Carol from Cancelling with Me)…

How I Kept My Client Carol from Cancelling with Me...

Dear Friend,

If you have ever wanted to know how to keep clients forever, and prevent any of them from ever leaving you… then this is going to be the most exciting message you ever read!

Here is why.

Yesterday, my client Carol said, “Stu, I thought about it… and I’m just not ready to give you up!”

Now… this is important because just a couple of weeks ago, Carol explained to me how she needed to stop training because she was running out of money.

Instead of feeling bad, I immediately started to discuss the different options with her…

  • Join one of my groups for less money
  • Scale back, but keep training for accountability
  • Find a partner to work out with you and share the costs

Listen. Many trainers get upset when a client tells them they’re going to cancel. Heck, even I have gotten upset in the past… but you know what?

If you get upset at all you are almost
guaranteed to lose the client!

On the other hand… if you ramp up your service and deliver as good as you can… then you give yourself the best chance of keeping that client!

Here’s how I did it:

Once Carol told me she was thinking about leaving, I built her a new program and gave her an extra – free – consultation to review her nutrition.

Then I explained how she could stay on track and why she mattered so much to me and that I wanted to make sure she didn’t lose any of the results she had worked so hard for. After that… I really upped the workout intensity and made sure I was doing the best job possible.

After all… if Carol did decide to leave I wanted to make sure she would feel good if she ever decided to come back… or have great things to say if someone asked her about me down the road.

Remember this point:

Never take a client for granted and always
deliver the best service you are capable of delivering!

We all get casual every now and again… but if you really want to keep all of your cleints forever you need to deliver amazing workouts day-in-and-day-out and keep your value high.

In addition, clients will often stay with you because they like you too… so always make sure you treat your clients like they were your best friend… (even when you have a bad day or you are in a bad mood!).

Here are a few tricks I have learned over the years:

  • If you’re having a bad day, tell your clients and joke about it so you don’t take it out on them… then move on so the rest of the session is about your clients. (Clients hate it when trainers complain to them… this is your client’s time to complain to you!
  • No matter how bad of a mood you are in, greet your clients as though they are the most important person in the world. (Whenever I do this it actually puts me in a good mood!)
  • Always remember how fortunate you are to have any client… if you ever feel bored or complacent… you need to readjust your attitude fast (or you will lose clients)!

Now… there are about 9 additional ways to keep clients from canceling with you. And I explain them all in my special e-class. This is the e-class where I take you by the hand and personally walk you step-by-step through everything you need to start making $4,000 or more a month in just 6 months!

Sincerely,
Stu

P.S. You can test drive the e-class for free here if you’re wondering if it really is as good as I say (it is!)…
